Parents’ cheers sounded across the playground at Chaparral Elementary School as students streamed outside during the school day Friday, circling the playground in holiday-themed attire while classmates staffed a bustling lemonade stand nearby.
The Jingle Jog Fun Run blended movement, music and student leadership into a campuswide effort to support children battling cancer.
The event benefited the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, raising money for childhood cancer research through a student-led lemonade stand and a schoolwide fun run.
