Chandler weekend freeway work closes, restricts Loop 202 traffic

Valley drivers will encounter several freeway closures and restrictions Friday through Monday, Aug. 28-31, state transportation officials said.

Motorists should allow extra travel time and use detour routes as needed for these improvement project restrictions, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation:

Westbound Loop 202 will be closed between Gilbert Road and Arizona Avenue 10 p.m. Friday-5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
