Seton Catholic Prep sophomore Colton Campbell got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in March.
Campbell was selected from applicants around the U.S. to take part in the Disney Dreamers Academy in Florida, according to a news release from the Chandler school.
“I was really thrilled; it was amazing to be selected,” Campbell said in the release.
After Campbell and his mother learned about the Academy through a family friend, he decided to apply for a spot in this year’s class.
In late December, Campbell found out he was one of 100 people selected from across the country to be a member of the 2025 Class of Dreamers and was invited to take part in the Academy at the end of March.
Campbell attended the four-day event at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., getting various experiences on leadership and career development, all while gaining insight from different speakers from numerous occupational backgrounds.
Campbell said he’s grateful to have had the opportunity to expand outside of his comfort zone and meet people from around the country.
“It really helped me meet new people and network,” Campbell said. “It helped expose me to new industries and really taught me to be more confident in the way I speak and go up to people.”
