More Loop 202 work at Chandler / Gilbert line among weekend projects

Roadwork abounds on Valley freeways

Closures and restrictions have been set for the weekend along Loop 202, Loop 101 and State Routes 51 and 347, state transportation officials said Thursday.

Drivers can expect detours and slower traffic in these five sections of the Valley from Friday night, Aug. 21, to Monday morning, Aug. 24:

Westbound Loop 202 will be closed between Lindsay and McQueen roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening work.
