Chandler utility rate hearing set for Thursday

Community service fees hike vote not in foreseeable future

Thursday night’s 6 p.m. Chandler City Council meeting will include a public hearing on utility rates.

The hearing will be for rates that would go into effect Jan. 1, 2024. The rates were discussed in a council public work session July 20 and in a city-staffed public meeting Sept. 13.

At Monday night’s council study session, Chief Financial Officer Dawn Lang went over $75 million in proposed bonds to fund water and wastewater projects, with a resolution to sell the bonds set to be on Thursday’s agenda.
