Chandler Council to address utility rate increases, raises for officials

Flock cameras not a scheduled topic, but Aug. 13 input expected

Since the Chandler City Council won’t have Flock cameras to address this week, it can move on to some decisions about expensive purchases.

Chandler Police Chief Bryan Chapman announced Aug. 7 that his department is ending its 2-plus-year relationship with Flock and ordering the 40 license-plate reader cameras around the city to be removed. A renewal of the department’s contract was to be presented anew to Council this week.

Even without any scheduled business around camera technology, Council will have a busy week— and that focus could be on utility rate increases.
