Some unique visitors were at recent Chandler City Council meeting — though they weren’t in town just for the day.
North Miami, Florida youth council members and adult officials spent about one week in the Chandler area in June, touring the city and observing, first-hand, how local governments function in Arizona.
City Councilmember Mary Estimé-Irvin has served alongside Chandler Councilmember Christine Ellis on the Haitian American Elected Officials Network executive committee. That led to an invite for a North Miami contingent to travel to Arizona.
