Chandler Council asks ‘Water you doing?’ about water safety

Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke read a proclamation for Drowning Awareness Month during the Aug. 10 City Council regular meeting.

The proclamation included mention of the “ABCs of Water Safety.” Those are adult supervision, barriers that keep small children from getting into water unsupervised, classes and devices, such as U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets for non-swimmers.

Hartke also mentioned the city’s “Water You Doing” informational and water safety emphasis campaign.
