The Chandler Unified School District invites families to explore schools and programs at its second-annual  School Choice Fair.

It's set for Wednesday, Nov. 5, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CUSD District Office, 1525 W. Frye Road in Chandler. Attendees can arrive or leave at any time during the open-house-style event.

This whole-family event offers a one-stop opportunity to connect with CUSD educators, program experts, and school representatives, according to a news release. CUSD serves students in preschool through high school, with schools in most of Chandler as well as parts of Gilbert and Queen Creek.

Families can learn more about the district’s diverse academic and extracurricular offerings, including accelerated learning, advanced placement, athletics and activities, career and technical education, fine arts, STEM and what CUSD calls "traditional academies."

In addition to visiting school and program booths, attendees can participate in informational sessions on preschool and gifted programs designed to help parents understand pathway options. Children can enjoy crafts and face-painting.

Every student has unique interests and strengths, and CUSD offers many programs -- one or more of which, likely meets those needs. If families already choose CUSD, the fair is an opportunity to explore their student’s middle-school, junior high or high school pathway.
