The Apache Junction Water District Board voted unanimously recently to purchase two service trucks with lighting and equipment for a total of $150,000.
The board, comprised of Apache Junction City Council members, on Sept. 15 voted to purchase a Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and a Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD four-wheel drive from Midway Chevrolet.
Typically the district replaces its vehicles that are over seven years old or have been driven 100,000 miles, Water District Director Michael Loggins said prior to the vote.
