Water district flushing lines in south Apache Junction

The water district, formed by the city of Apache Junction on Aug. 2, 1994, is responsible for providing water service for a portion of the city of Apache Junction.

The Apache Junction Water District began flushing water lines on Oct. 5 and is to continue for approximately three weeks in the area west of Ironwood Drive to Meridian Drive, between Warner Avenue and Ray Avenue.

This is routine water system maintenance and is not a water leak, according to a release.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the area and watch for water on the roadway.
