A bridge for bicycles and pedestrian is being proposed for a bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Los Feliz Drive in Tempe, and city officials what to know what residents think about it.

Public meetings will take place April 3:

Th preliminary design proposes an ADA-accessible bicycle and pedestrian bridge with lighting, landscaping, public art and shade, according to the city.

The bridge would be near Los Feliz Drive, just south of Apache Boulevard and north of Broadway Road.

The crossing would connect to the Country Club Way Project south of the US 60 and the Smith Road Improvements Project north of Apache Boulevard.

In addition to the bridge, the project includes ADA-accessibility improvements, including a new sidewalk, directional ramps and dedicated bicycle facilities, connecting north to Smith Road and Apache Boulevard and south at Los Feliz Drive and Broadway Road, city officials said.
