Registration is open now for the free Be Kind to Your Mind 5K Walk/Run on May 11 hosted by Tempe’s Community Health and Human Services Department and CARE 7 team during Mental Health Awareness Month.

The city invites residents to come together to raise awareness about mental health and show support for those who may be struggling, according to a city release.

Lace up your sneakers, bring your friends and family and come hit the pavement to promote mental wellness. Whether you choose to run or walk, every step counts towards breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.

Join Tempe on Saturday, May 11 at Kiwanis Park from 7:30-11 a.m. Stay afterward to learn more about available resources in Tempe and ways to take care of your body and brain. Participants can also win raffle prizes after the run.

Registration can be found here.
