Senior Helpers of Tempe brought the community together on Sunday, Oct. 18, for its inaugural Paws for a Cause: Howl-O-Ween fundraiser at Kiwanis Park, raising over $5,6000 for the Alzheimer's Association.
The family-friendly event welcomed local businesses, families, and their four-legged companions for a morning of Halloween fun while supporting a cause that impacts millions nationwide.
As a local veteran-owned home care company that supports families affected by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, this event was especially meaningful to Senior Helpers of Tempe.
"We wanted to create something that brought families, local businesses, and our community together while supporting a cause that is close to our hearts," said Analaura DeVary, co-owner of Senior Helpers of Tempe said in a statement.
The fundraiser reflects the company's commitment to giving back, building meaningful community connections, and supporting organizations that make a difference in the lives of older adults and their families.
