Tempe Chamber of Commerce has released its list of endorsed candidates for the March 12 primary election, which includes standing Mayor Corey Woods, standing Council Members Doreen Garlid and Randy Keating, as well as candidate Nikki Amberg.
The Chamber Board of Directors through interviews and analysis, voted to endorse 4 candidates running at their monthly board meeting, as explained in a press release.
The endorsement is a declaration by the chamber that these candidates understand the interests of the Tempe business community and, if elected, will champion policies supportive of economic and community development.
"Supporting business-friendly candidates is an investment in economic prosperity, job growth and a thriving community,” Colin Diaz, President and CEO of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce, stated in the release. “By endorsing leaders who understand the importance of a conducive business environment, we pave the way for innovation, competitiveness, sustainability and overall success."
