A Corvette drives along Mill Avenue to honor Veterans in Tempe.

Tempe's Veterans Day Parade down Mill Avenue will return on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m.
Tempe honors the millions of veterans nationwide with a parade that stretches from Arizona State University Gammage Theater to Tempe Beach Park.
Participants include members of the Tempe City Council, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, local school marching bands, community members, veterans groups, and many more.
Volunteers will hand out thousands of small flags along the parade route as part of a longstanding Tempe tradition.
To honor a veteran, anyone can purchase a banner for the lampposts in downtown Tempe. It will then be customized with a photo of the honoree and other details such as their name and time served.
Banners honoring those who have died in recent wars or have newly enlisted are free of charge.
