Speak Up: Paradise Valley readers weigh in on mail-in ballots

Posted

With community, state and national elections right around the corner, Independent Newsmedia asked readers what they thought about Arizona’s mail-in voting.

Here are some comments from area readers:

What do you think of Arizona's mail-in ballot system?

“Voting by mail is an Arizona tradition. Few, if any, have reported issues with such. The GOP would have one believe there is ‘that’ problem, but have never pointed it out.” — Steven L.

“We are 78-year-old veterans with health problems. We cannot stand in line for hours, so voting by mail is a must.” — Benita D.

“Works great. Plus, I’m notified when it is received and when it has been verified and been counted.” — Tom P.

“In a county of 330 million people, mail-in and early voting is a must. You can track your mail-in vote online.” — Chris H.

“This is not the late 90s and recent audits show virtually no fraud.” — Matthew G.

“Trump has the issue of mail-in ballots correct. One of the best ways to manipulate the outcome of an election. Don’t count them, just pitch them in the trash.” — Tom H.

“Those who are going to cheat/lie, etc. will find a way to do that no matter the process and what safeguards have been put in place.” — Lari P.
