Thanks to its newest curator with a personal connection, Tempe History Museum celebrates activist Cesar Chavez in its latest exhibit, exploring his lasting impact in Arizona and his work as a civil rights and farm labor leader.
“Extending a Hand: César Chávez an Arizona Connection,” on display at the museum through Oct. 6, features art inspired by Chavez’s legacy along with an in-depth look at his life and activism, a city release explained.
Complementing the main exhibit, the museum will have a rotating art exhibition, “Corazón del Campo,” throughout its run in the museum’s Community Room.
