Electric Pickle, a new pickleball, dining and outdoor entertainment destination, is officially opening its flagship location in Tempe on Jan. 6, with reservations now available for dining and monthly memberships featuring exclusive perks.

The first of its kind in the country, Electric Pickle is where pickleball and outdoor entertainment meets globally inspired cuisine, a press release stated. With five additional openings planned on the horizon, Tempe will be the debut city for the expanding brand.

Founder and co-CEO Paul Frederick said in the release that Electric Pickle is more than just a pickleball venue, the nearly 5-acre establishment combines camaraderie, competition and relaxation all in one space.

“Tempe’s vibrant spirit created the perfect environment to launch this new concept, and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests as we kick off this exciting chapter for the brand,” Frederick said.

For those looking to get into the game, pickleball court reservations can be made online for up to two hours of play and accommodate up to 12 people with four players on the court at a time, the release explained.

Walk-ins will also be welcomed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Memberships, available for $100 per month, include unlimited open play, advanced booking, exclusive morning discounts on court access and golf simulators from 6 to 10 a.m., as well as savings at the Pro Shop.

Electric Pickle features nine pickleball courts, four of which are covered. Five courts are equipped with AI technology, offering scorekeeping via smart wristbands and elevating the pickleball experience.

Located at 8688 S. Emerald Drive — just south of Ikea near Interstate-10 and Warner Road — the Tempe flagship location is just the beginning of a national rollout. For reservations, memberships or more, visit electricpickle.com.
