Arizona Wine Garden Party returns for second year

Posted

The second annual Arizona Wine Garden Party brings a festival atmosphere to a hidden away venue, Singh Meadows.

According to a press release, the lush grounds were once a golf course that the city of Tempe decided to repurpose. Organic agriculturalist Ken Singh took over the space and transformed it into a garden-like spot right on the border between Tempe and Scottsdale.

Willcox Wine Country vineyards will be back to pour the “best of the best” for wine samplers, including the petit verdot from Strive Vineyards that recently took double gold from the San Francisco Chronicle, the release explained.

The music lineup will also keep things flowing. The Saturday, Feb. 25 lineup is led by Shawn Johnson at 11 a.m. followed by Honeygirl at 2 p.m., while Sunday, Feb. 26 will feature folk-rock from Jeordie & The Mixology Project at 2 p.m.

Additionally, on Sunday, some of Arizona's best singer-songwriters will share the stage with musical stories at 11 a.m.

Admission is free, and advance wine-tasting tickets are available now at WillcoxWineCountry.org.
