Tots take the wheel for the final Free Art Friday events of the season on April 19 and 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Edna Vihel Arts Center, 3340 S. Rural Road.
Celebrate their natural wonder and creativity as they take the lead in their artistic journey, a city release stated. With interactive arts activities, sensory play and captivating storytelling, families can enjoy a morning with the endless possibilities of a tot's imagination.
No registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided.
What to expect:
A live theatre performance by Wolfe Bowarte of Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre, titled WoBo Show: Clouds;
Art activities include "toddler graffiti" sidewalk chalk art, garden-themed sensory dough and a personalized marbled visor;
Music and movement activity with licensed music therapist Emily Bruso of Natural Notes;
Baby Scientist sensory activities with the Emerging Minds Lab and the Sensory Play Area that allows children to explore textures, scents and sounds; and
Coffee for the grown-ups for purchase from Eis Cafe on Friday and La Vida Oats on Saturday.
