Highland Prep’s Zero Robotics team earned a prestigious spot in this year’s Zero Robotics High School Tournament Finals, an achievement only a select group of schools worldwide reach.
“Highland Prep is incredibly proud of everything these students accomplished this season and celebrates their success as they continue to push the boundaries of innovation and excellence in STEM,” officials at the STEM-focused college-preparatory high school wrote in a news release.
The team’s journey began with months of intensive virtual simulations, where it competed against hundreds of international teams to develop autonomous algorithms for NASA’s Astrobee robots.
