The West Valley Wind Ensemble (WVWE) presents "America at 250," a special concert celebrating the 250th anniversary of America featuring works by legendary American composers. This event takes place January 7 at 6pm as part of the American Lutheran Church of Sun City's Wednesday Night Alive program.
The performance will be conducted by Music Director Clark Chaffee, with narration provided by Ellie Chaffee. Associate Conductor Dr. Robert Ouren will also step in to conduct two pieces during the program.
Composed of dedicated volunteer musicians from Sun City, Surprise, and surrounding West Valley communities, WVWE members generously donate their time and talents to provide free live music entertainment for local audiences. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the ensemble is funded entirely by donations and contributions received at concerts, on-line or by mail which are used to cover operating costs.
WVWE demonstrates its strong relationship and deep commitment to the community through philanthropic work with the Valley View Community Food Bank, an organization that provides essential support to community members in need in the Sun City and Surprise areas.
