Traffic signal goes live on Cactus Road in Surprise

City activates new signal at Waterworks Circle

The city of Surprise activated a new traffic signal this morning at the intersection of Cactus Road and Waterworks Circle, just east of Litchfield Road.

It will flash red for 48 hours before beginning normal operation on Thursday, July 24.

The city said motorists should be mindful of the traffic control change and treat the flashing red lights the same as a four-way intersection with stop signs.
