The next Surprise Fire-Medical Department On Deck program session is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Fire Station 308, 13771 W. Cactus Road.
The On Deck Program is a monthly meeting offering aspiring firefighters ages 18 and older the chance to meet, interact and even train with fire members. This is a no-pressure way to learn about a career in the fire service, gain insights into the testing process and get a great workout.
Advanced registration is encouraged so staff can plan for attendance levels and have a participation waiver on file.
