Surprise's first disc golf course opens at Asante park

Posted

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department announced the opening of its first disc golf course at Asante Community Park, 16763 W. Vereda Solana Drive.

The nine-hole course, recently completed by the Parks Maintenance crew, includes an additional basket for practice. The course begins at the Aviator Memorial near the soccer fields and extends northwest along the park’s linear mile.

Disc golf is fast-growing sport where players throw flying discs into metal baskets, aiming to complete each hole in as few throws as possible. It’s accessible, affordable and a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

The new course is open to the public and free to play. It’s designed for beginners or a seasoned player.
