The Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association and Valley Toyota Dealers are presenting a series of 10 Mini Public Safety Expos across the Valley beginning with the Toyota of Surprise dealership.

It’s scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at 13543 N. Autoshow Ave.

ALECA also announced Valley Toyota Dealers is now an official 2025 sponsor, supporting the nonprofit’s renowned live-action training drills for K9s and handlers throughout the Southwest.

On April 26, fans can get up close to meet and greet their local law enforcement officers, K9 teams, SWAT units and climb aboard real police armored vehicles such as the armored bearcat, see active police drones, learn about SWAT team gear and more.

This will be the first of many Mini Public Safety Expos for ALECA handlers and K9s, with a tour planned to all 10 Valley Toyota Dealerships this year. A full schedule is to come.

The mini expos and meet and greets lead up to the 22nd Desert Dog Police K9 Trials and Public Safety Expo Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The two-day competition and expo will showcase ALECA members from across the U.S. as handlers and K9s show off their skills in WestWorld’s rodeo arena for a chance to win esteemed titles, including Top Dog and Tough Dog.
