Following a barrage of social media comments, the Dysart Unified School District superintendent gave a lengthy apology during the last governing board meeting.
Those in person and online for the Feb. 24 meeting were informed about the aftermath of a controversial video that recently went viral. The district had to temporarily suspend social media comments that flooded in after an online influencer reportedly implored people to identify someone seen on a random video showing a combative woman targeting a lesbian couple at a local fast food restaurant.
According to published reports, the one partner who recently shared the video detailed the incident about the couple traveling from out of state with their children when they stopped and had a bad experience at the restaurant. A woman in question stated unprovoked on a video recording that she had worked for Dysart as she continued to berate the couple.
