The Surprise Independent frequently features a different educator in our city. This week, we shine the light on Valley Vista High School Counselor Larissa Scott, who has been with the school for four years.
What are you excited about on your campus/in your department and why?
I’m really excited about the direction our campus and department are moving in. We’re putting a strong focus on student support, connection and creating meaningful opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. In our counseling department, I’m especially energized by the work we’re doing to improve communication with students, streamline academic planning and expand resources for college and career readiness.
