With hundreds of people expected to attend the Surprise Vet Fest, the city planned for more vendors, activities, and resources available at the event.
Veterans were the primary focus of the family-friendly event held April 12 at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave. The community attraction featured live music, vendor booths, information from veteran service providers, a job fair, haircuts for veterans, kids’ zone, sensory tents, static displays of military vehicles, food trucks, and more.
“Look around at all these resources available to you,” said Surprise Mayor Kevin Sartor, an Army veteran.
