Surprise Public Library System is celebrating library card signup month by inviting residents to sign up for one for free.
“Whether diving into a new hobby, searching for the next great read, brushing up on tech skills or helping a child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card,” library officials wrote in a news release.
Library cards give patrons access everything from free programs and job resources to streaming media and cultural events and allow them to check out toys, telescopes, explorer and nature kits from the “Library of Things.”
