It's last week to enter challenge for Surprise MLK event

Participants of Surprise's annual #SurpriseCelebratesMLK Challenge can submit their stories of service at surpriseaz.gov/MLKChallenge by Wednesday to be eligible to be part of the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration next month.

Based on King’s words, “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve,” the challenge encourages participants to share photos, videos or creative expressions that answer the question: “How do you serve?”

The challenge leads up to the 10th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Celebration and Service, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17.
