Surprise hosting budget retreat for 2026 finances

The year didn’t start long ago, but the city of Surprise is already thinking about its next budget cycle.

The Surprise City Council is meeting this week for a budget retreat to set aside wants and needs for the fiscal year 2026 budget.

It’s set to take place at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 before the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
