Surprise graduates make honor lists at various colleges

A host of Surprise-area students made honor lists for the spring semester at various schools across the country.

Briona Blake was named to the University of Evansville (Indiana) dean’s list for the spring semester. Evansville students must carry a full academic load of 12 hours or more and have earned a GPA of 3.5 or above.

Jennah Grice made the dean’s list at Illinois Rockford University for the spring semester. Illinois Rockford University, formerly Rockford College, is a four-year, co-educational institution founded in 1847, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in traditional liberal arts and professional fields.

Garrison Ast was named to the spring dean’s list at the University of Jamestown (North Dakota). Students are named to the list for a earning a 3.5 GPA while taking at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Marquel Thurman was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Saint Mary in Kansas. Thurman qualified by ending the semester with a 3.5 GPA or better. The University of Saint Mary is a Catholic co-educational applied liberal arts university founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.

Kobie Fowler, a kinesiology major, was named to the University of Louisiana-Monroe’s spring dean’s list. Eligibility required full-time enrollment and a GPA of at least a 3.5.

Bryson Wilke earned dean’s list honors at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa. The list recognizes Morningside students who achieve a 3.67 GPA or better and complete at least 12 credits of coursework with no grade below a “C-.”

Midway (Kentucky) University announced Sawyer Snodgrass was one of 448 students named to its spring dean’s list for taking a full course load and obtaining at least a 3.60 GPA.
