The Surprise Sundancers Board of Directors announced the awarding of $193,500 in scholarships to 50 students from the Surprise area.
Scholarship recipients were formally recognized on the field and introduced to fans at Surprise Stadium prior to a spring training game on March 18.
“The Surprise Sundancers are proud to invest in the future of our community by supporting outstanding local students as they pursue higher education,” said Randy Jackson, president of the Surprise Sundancers Board of Directors. “These scholarships represent the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our community partners who believe in creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders in the West Valley. Helping young people from our community achieve their educational goals is at the heart of the Sundancers’ mission.”
