Shadow Ridge’s large senior class got a taste of the top level of Arizona high school boys soccer.
Now, entering the first soccer Open Division tournament tonight, the Stallions are more comfortable mixing with the elite. Shadow Ridge began the season knocking off defending 6A champion Gilbert Perry and No. 10 overall team Chandler Arizona College Prep in a preseason tournament.
Coach Andrew Engwall’s team enters the Open Division, ranked No. 12 overall and No. 7 in 6A. The Stallions will play host to #21 Phoenix Sierra Linda at 6 p.m.
