Paradise Honors’ swimming and diving program rapidly shed its humble beginnings.
In early November, the Panthers made their strongest statement yet, placing fourth in the boys Division III team standings and sixth among Division III girls.
“Our teams improved significantly. The first year, we were at El Mirage, practicing in a three-lane pool. No heat and no blocks,” Coach Joe North said. “Now we have a pool with more lanes and starting blocks we can use. We don’t freeze in November. It’s been a huge success seeing how this team has grown. One thing I think we do especially well for being a top team is, we have tons of high school swimmers who are swimming club summer times.”
