More commercial area could be coming to northwest Surprise

The undeveloped southeast corner of 163rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road could be turned into commercial development.

Kathy Walp with JMC Engineering, PLLC, has called for a neighborhood development meeting this week to discuss a zoning change request to convert rural residential zoning. The request concerns 3.4 acres of vacant land on the corner.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1 at Asante Preparatory Academy, 23251 N. 166th Drive.
