Help wanted to examine Dysart cell phone policy in Surprise

Dysart Schools seeks people for newly formed committee

The Dysart Unified School District is putting a call out for people to apply to serve on a cell phone committee to examine the district’s policy.

Those interested can complete a form by Thursday, Sept. 19 at dysart.org/CellPhoneCommittee. Selected applicants will be notified by the end of day on Friday, Sept. 20. Applicants should be prepared to attend meetings from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Nov. 20, and Jan. 22, according to a district news release.

“It is important to note that the committee is not specifically studying a cell phone ban, rather, it will be gathering information and feedback from stakeholders to share with district leadership,” the release noted.
