Gila River Indian Community donates grants to Surprise groups

Two Surprise groups are receiving grant money for their programs from the Gila River Indian Community.

The Surprise Human Services and Community Vitality Department acted as the fiscal agent for grants to WHAM and Honor Dance.

The Gila River Grant Review Board awarded $40,000 to WHAM’s “Art: A Path to Healing” program, which is a veteran therapy program.
