Preparing to represent their schools at the state level, eight students combined from Insight Academy of Arizona and Arizona Virtual Academy received top honors at the regional Future Business Leaders of America two-day competition held at Ottawa University-Arizona.
OUAZ has hosted the high school competition for the last three years, including this year’s regional event Jan. 14 and 16.
Noting this year’s national theme as “Make Your Mark,” FBLA state adviser Missey Boucher-Goodman, of the Arizona Department of Education, said 130 medals were awarded to first- through third-place winners in various categories.
