Details released for this weekend's Surprise SciTech Festival

Surprise residents can have fun with science and technology at the Surprise SciTech Festival on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Attendees can enjoy more than 70 different vendor booths offering interactive science, technology, engineering, art and math activities.
It’s all happening 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parking lot of Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
The free event is designed for all ages.
The festival will incude the following:
Live science shows: Dynamic performances bring science to life;
Innovative demos: Surprise Fire-Medical & Police, robots, coding and more;
Space exploration: Solar telescopes and aerospace activities;
Health and wellness: Explore medical science and technology;
S.T.E.A.M. careers: Connect with industry experts;
Local innovators: Schools, businesses, universities and many others;
Hands-on activities: Robotics, LEGO, science experiments and 3D printing;
Giveaways for all ages: Gift baskets, spring training tickets, a remote-control airplane, telescope, LEGO kits and more.
The first 500 kids to complete a SciTech passport will win a certificate for a free Raising Cane's Kids Combo.
Food will be available for purchase from a variety of local food trucks.
Parking is free on the west end of the Mark Coronado parking lot. Parking can be accessed from North Buck O'Neil Way from West Paradise Lane or North Bullard Avenue.
Due to the event setup, access from Bullard onto West Fastball Drive will be blocked.
The SciTech Festival is a signature event of the Arizona SciTech Festival. It is presented by the Surprise Human Service and Community Vitality Department in partnership with Arizona SciTech and Dysart Schools with support from presenting sponsors COX Communications, APS, Raising Canes and EPCOR; and sponsors Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Felix Construction, Waste Management, Kiwanis Club of Litchfield, Ottawa University and Central Arizona Project.
