The Gathering Church announced the dates for this year’s “Christmas in the Park” event at Mark Coronado Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
The five-day event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 through Christmas eve. Church organizers said they are hoping the free, family Christmas celebration will spread joy and unity within the community.
Planners are expecting an attendance of more than 20,000 over the five days.
There will be live entertainment, activities for all ages, pony rides, petting zoos, ornament making, bounce houses, snow and an opportunity to see the “Christmas Story” in the most realistic and immersive way possible. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience the journey that Joseph and Mary traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem, animals and all!
“The Gathering Church has a heart to serve our city and provide life and encouragement to our community,” said Lead Pastor Jon Lepinski. “‘Christmas in the Park’ is a tangible expression of this value as it ensures residents receive a free, life-giving Christmas experience that is both memorable and nurturing to families of the West Valley.”
