ALA-West Foothills boys volleyball dispenses with the usual platitudes of a state runner-up team that returned most of its players.
The Guardians are willing to say that they’ve waited all year for the last game of the regular season, Thursday’s rematch with Northwest Christian. And they make clear the goal is the 3A state title the Crusaders won by beating the Guardians 15-8 in the 2025 final.
“State was devastating for us, but we all knew we were mostly juniors and we had this year to come back and sweep almost everybody,” senior middle blocker Cameron Lauer said. “Northwest is the only game we want bad.”
