Sgt. George Cross, a D-Day Veteran, visited Luke Elementary School on Jan. 27 to speak to sixth- through eighth-grade students.
Cross is 100 years old and shared many stories and memories with the students.
The visit was arranged through the Festival Veterans Club and the Military Order of World Wars, Surprise branch.
