PORA officials in opposition of the BNSF project

Rec Center officials providing information to residents

Recreation Centers of Sun City West officials are providing information to residents about the BNSF logistics park and how it may impact the community. The Property Owners and Residents Association board of directors have publicly opposed the location of any intermodel project along US60 that would have a negative impact on Sun City West residents.

BNSF is proposing a $2.3 bill, 4,320-acre freight rail facility near U.S. 60 in Wittman and a vote by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors

A PORA e-news statement read: “PORA further implores the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to adopt the same position related to railroads near residential areas in future applications for zoning change.
