Westernaires prep for fall season; Collins returns to direct

The Westernaires Chorus of Sun City West will conduct its first rehearsal of the fall season 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Back 40 of the Stardust Theater.
Having balanced her health concerns, Sylvia Collins will return to direct four holiday shows entitled “Let the Lights Shine” Dec. 8-11 in the Stardust Theater. Collins earned a bachelor’s degree in choral music at the University of Wisconsin and previously directed the Westernaires Chorus for six years.
Tickets may be purchased at the Rec Center box office and at westernaires.scwclubs.com starting Oct. 23.
Residents wishing to attend and/or audition to perform with the Westernaires Chorus are invited to attend the first rehearsal.
