First United Methodist Church and Pastor Kathleen Puntar host the Desert Winds Steel Orchestra in concert 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at 9849 N. 105th Ave. The event is free for the community and a free-will offering can be made. The Desert Winds Steel Orchestra has more than 15 members who have discovered the joy of music making in an ensemble setting. Their repertoire includes Latin and pop songs and an array of island tunes. The orchestra has performed at Cricket Pavilion to entertain the crowd of party-goers prior to performances by Jimmy Buffet.
