Sun City West Tennis Club supports children’s program

The Sun City West Tennis Club held their third annual “PASS Kids Day” Jan. 11 at the Tennis Complex. PASS (Programs for After School Success) is a nonprofit   program that teaches the sport of tennis and quality life skills while incentivizing positive behavior to underserved students in the Phoenix area.

This program has been recognized by the United States Tennis Association as one of the premier “learning life skills” programs in the country.

There were competitive matches with members playing tennis with the children, who were also introduced to adult red ball tennis. At the end of the day, all were treated to an ice cream social where club members sat with the children and talked about what they did for a career and what aspirations these children had for their futures.

“The Tennis Club is deeply honored to be just a little part of this exceptional program,” stated Joel Piaskowski, club member and director of community services for PASS.
