Sun City West community readies for annual Relay event

The American Cancer Society is getting ready for the 8th annual Relay for Life Walk in Sun City West, 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Beardsley Park, with a kick-off meeting 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Sun City West Foundation Webb Room, R. H. Johnson and Stardust boulevards.
Learn how to spread the word about this upcoming event, how to start a team and more about the American Cancer Society.
Additionally, YesterYear is putting on a benefit concert 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Sun City West Foundation Webb/Powell Rooms. Tickets are $10 each or reserve a “premium” table of 8 for $150. The Foundation, as well as the band, is donating their services.
Purchase tickets at the SCW Foundation (623-584-6851) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
This is a BYOB event with a 50/50 raffle. Individuals may also purchase luminaria at the event to honor someone who has won, lost or is fighting cancer.
